Hey everyone! Today is Final day of my Iron Fey devotions! Sorry it is so late of a post but Life has been pretty busy lately! Of course I will still be posting other stuff linking to the Iron Fey Series but this event has to have an end....with my favorite quotes from The Iron Queen!! Loved everything in this book! It is my favorite of the three! Sadly I still haven't received my Iron Knight copy and that officializes it... I am never pr-ordering a book ever again!! So because of that I can't give my favorite quotes or anything like that yet but I will very soon!! I could have had it already by just going out and buying it!!! Anyways enough of my complaining...without further a due here are my favorite quotes! Enjoy :)
“My name is Ashallyn'darkmyr Tallyn, third son of the Unseelie Court...Let it be known--from this day forth, I vow to protect Meghan Chase, daughter of the Summer King, with my sword, my honor, and my life. Her desires are mine. Her wishes are mine. Should even the world stand against her, my blade will be at her side. And should it fail to protect her, let my own existence be forfeit. This I swear, on my honor, my True Name, and my life. From this day on..." His voice went even softer, but I still heard it as though he whispered it into my ear. "I am yours.”
“His forehead bumped softly against mine, his brilliant silver gaze searing into me. “I plan to keep you, from everyone, for as long as I’m alive. That includes Puck, the false king, and anyone else who would take you away.” One corner of his mouth quirked, as I struggled to catch my breath under his powerful scrutiny. “I guess I should’ve warned you that I have a slight possessive streak.” -ASH”
“You are my heart, my life, my entire existence." -Ash”
“But ... but what if I hit you?”
A snort. “You’re not going to hit me.”
“How do you know?” I bristled at his amused tone. “I could hit you. Even master swordsmen make mistakes. I could get a lucky shot, or you might not see me coming. I don’t want to hurt you.”
He favored me with another patient look. “And how much experience do you have with swords and weapons in general?”
“Um.” I glanced down at the saber in my hand. “Thirty seconds?”
He smiled, that calm, irritatingly confident smirk. “You’re not going to hit me.” ~Ash&Meghan
“A soft noise, almost a sob. Ash rose, hesitated, as if fighting the compulsion to obey. "I will always be your knight, Meghan Chase," he whispered in a strained voice, as if every moment he remained was painful to him. "And I swear, if there is a way for us to be together, I will find it. No matter how long it takes. If I have to chase your soul to the ends of eternity, I won't stop until I find you, I promise."
And then he was gone.”
“The cait sith has disappeared.”
“ … Crap.”
-PUCK and ASH”
“Hey, princess.”
“Hey,” I whispered, as Ash slipped his arms around my waist from behind, drawing me close. I could feel his glare aimed at Puck over my head, a silent, protective gesture that spoke louder than any words. Mine. Back off.”
~All three(kinda)
“Good idea,” Puck echoed from the back of the cave. “Why don’t you take first watch, prince? You could actually be doing something that doesn’t make me want to gouge my eyes out with a spork.”
Ash’s lips curled in a smirk. “I would think you’re better suited to the task, Goodfellow,” he said without turning around. “After all, that’s what you’re best at isn’t it? Watching?”
“Oh, keep it up, ice-boy. You’re gonna have to sleep sometime.”~Ash and Puck
“One more thing,” Ash said in his dangerous, soft voice as we turned away. “If you do not return with her,” Ash continued, staring him down, “if she comes to any harm while she is with you, I will turn this entire camp into a bloodbath. That is my promise, lieutenant.”~Ash
“I wished that, for once, faery tales – real faery tales, not Disney fairy tales – would have a happy ending.” ~Meghan
“You enjoy making my heart stop, don't you?”~Ash
“Ash brought my hand to his lips, his eyes never leaving mine. "I love you, Meghan Chase," he murmured against my skin. "For the rest of my life, however long we have left. I'll consider it an honor to die beside you.”~Ash
“Oh, look at that, he's heard of me. My fame grows." -Puck”
“Puck’s eyes gleamed, feral and menacing. “Oh, I don’t know, princess. Maybe it was because I was stupid enough to care about you. Maybe I actually thought I had a chance. Silly me, thinking that one little kiss meant anything to you.” -PUCK”
“We could die tomorrow," I whispered back. "I want to be with you tonight. I don't want to have any regrets, when it comes to us. So, yes, I'm sure. I love you, Ash.” ~Meghan
“My, aren't we bossy today. Give a girl an army and it goes straight to her head. - Puck”
“I want her to be happy, and she's most happy with you. Maybe this will make up for... past mistakes." He shook his head and returned to his normal idiocy. "So, either you say, 'Sure, I'd love to have you along,' or you have a big bird dropping things on your head the whole trip.” ~Puck
“Ah.” Puck’s emerald eyes sparkled with glee. “And so they come crawling back for Puck’s help after all. Tsk tsk.” He shook his head and took another bite of the apple. “How easy it is to forget grudges when someone has something you need.” -PUCK”
“He was my best friend, and I'd always have a spot for him in my heart, but... it was you, Ash. I didn't really have a choice. It's always been you.”~Meghan
“If I'd thought I would regret it," he said calmly, "I never would have made that oath. I knew what becoming a knight would mean. And if you asked me again, the answer would still be the same." He sighed, framing my face with his hands. "My life... everything I am... belongs to you.”~Ash
“I have always loved you, princess" Robin Goodfellow promised, his green eyes shining in the darkness. "I always will. And I'll take whatever you can give me."~Puck
“He hesitated, but then stepped beneath the tree and knelt, depositing me gently on the ground between two giant roots. And he stayed there, kneeling beside me, holding my hand in his. Something splashed the back of my hand, cold as spring water, crystalling to my skin. A faery's tears.”
“I don't care what it's called. I just want to be with her at the end. I'm not giving up. Meghan, I'll be with you soon. Please, wait for me.”~Ash
“Well, don't worry about it too much, princess. Let ice-boy cool off for the night and then try to talk to him tomorrow. He wont's stay angry with you too long, I bet. Ash isn't one to hold a grudge. ''
''What are you talking about? He's held a grudge against you for centuries!''
''Oh, right.'' - Puck and Meghan”
“Fairy godmothers didn't exist, and even if they did, they wouldn't wave a magic wand and make everything better.(Not without a contract, anyway.)”
“I learned long ago that you don't get in the middle of a lover's spat. Nothing EVER goes as planned - People fall in love with the wrong person, someone ends up with a donkey head and then its a whole big mess. - Puck”
“for better or worse, i'm afraid you're stuck with me now." -ash”
“It’s not that I don't trust the guy, but…no, wait--that's exactly the reason.”
“You'll take her to a healer, prince, or so help me I will cut out that piece of ice you call a heart and take her myself.”~Puck
“Goodfellow?” Glitch stared at Puck nervously. “Robin Goodfellow?”
“Oh, look at that, he’s heard of me. My fame grows.” Puck snorted and leaped off the roof. In midair, he became a giant black raven, who swooped toward us with a raucous cry before dropping into the circle as Puck in an explosion of feathers. “Ta-daaaaaaaaaa.”~Puck
“I have always loved you, princess,” Robin Goodfellow promised, his green eyes shining in the darkness. “I always will. And I’ll take whatever you can give me.”
I looked down, unable to meet his open stare, human fears and selfconsciousness coming to the surface. “Even if all I can offer is friendship? Will that still be enough?”
“Well, not really.” Puck dropped his hand, his voice turning light and carefree again, more like the Puck I knew. “Damn not being able to lie. Princess, if you suddenly decide ice-boy is a first-class jerk and that you can’t stand him, I’ll always be here.”~Puck&Meghan
“One night, bored and restless, I found a stack of dusty board games in a closet, and bullied Ash into learning Scrabble, checkers and Yahtzee. Surprisingly, Ash found that he enjoyed these “human” games, and was soon asking me to play more often than not. This filled some of the long, restless evenings and kept my mind off certain things. Unfortunately for me, once Ash learned the rules, he was nearly impossible to beat in strategy games like checkers, and his long life gave him a vast knowledge of lengthy, complicated words he staggered me with in Scrabble. Though sometimes we’d end up debating whether or not faery terms like Gwragedd Annwn and hobyahs were legal to use.”

Dang... I am going to have to stop there... god I can go on and on but honestly I would just be reciting the whole book!! Hope you enjoyed these quotes!! :D

A Fullout Devotion to the Iron Fey Series!
OK so Tuesday is the release of my most anticipated book: The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa. Julie has created such a wonderful world of the fey, amazing and beautiful characters, and a brilliant story line that I owe all sorts of credits to. These books are what brought me to re-discover my book obsession and love for fictional boys.
Ash is my first love and forever will be! To him I owe all my major swoons, cries, faints, and heart-aches. He is always in my heart, dreams, and thoughts. Every line made my stomach flip and my heart melt. After all the times I have read these books the effects he has on me never seem to wear off. If he were only real....
To Puck I owe my conflict in love. I do love him but like I said Ash is forever my #1 love. Puck made me cry, laugh, sigh, feel pain for and carry out my love for love triangles lol.
Meghan, she proved to be a strong, loyal and affectionate heroine. I loved her for her vulnerabilities, longing, and power. She always knew what she wanted and would do anything for the ones that she loved.
I just want to thank Miss Kagawa for giving me and readers such an amazing series! She easily became one of my favorite authors. The way she wrote, how she could take something that you barely payed attention to in the past such a significant factor in the future, the imagination, heart, humor, and cleverness she put into these books. I am sooo looking forward to the upcoming Iron Fey spin-off with Ethan and her new apocalyptic vampire series, The Immortal Rules. Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you Julie for these books! I honestly don't know what my book life would be without out you! I am a huge fan! :D

Winter's Passage (Iron Fey Series # 1.5)
Yet Meghan and Ash's detour does not go unnoticed. They have caught the attention of an ancient, powerful hunter--a foe that even Ash may not be able to defeat....
Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.
This book takes place right after the small novella Winter's Passage. Meghan chase is now in the Unseelie Court due to her contract with the winter prince, Ash. The Winter Court is the last place any summer fey would like to be. She is constantly pestered by a pukka. Her feelings for Ash have to be hidden for showing them can mean eternal torture or even worse...death. Not to mention Ash, after everything they had been through together, is being even more far and aloof than when they first heart which crushes poor Meghan's heart.
Oh! and to make matter's worse... the season scepter has been stolen!! Now Meghan, Ash, and Puck set out on another adventure to find it but Ash stops short and brakes away from the group promising Meghan he would never see her again. Now her heart is in pieces but Puck is there to pick them up and try to meld it back together. Matters take an unexpected spin and erupt into chaos. Will Meghan and Ash's love pull through? Will the sceptor be returned in enough time to stop the war? The Iron kingdom is at its peak as a new king comes into play.
I loved seeing everything ravel into pure chaos and then slowly unravel as everything is playing out. I loved seeing Meghan and all the characters grow throughout the book and Puck never manages disappoint with his humor and surprise! his romance!! oo la la!!! *wiggles eyebrows* Speaking of never disappointing me.... Ash (despite his cold shoulder) made me swoon countless times throughout the book. I am with Meghan on my heart beat picking up speed every time his name is mentioned! I devoured this book in a days time! Breathtaking and suspenseful! LOVED IT!! :D

Now Ash has granted one favor too many and someone's come to collect, forcing the prince to a place he cannot go without Puck's help—into the heart of the Summer Court. And Puck faces the ultimate choice—betray Ash and possibly win the girl they both love, or help his former friend turned bitter enemy pull off a deception that no true faery prankster could possibly resist.

*Quick Review:
Like I said before this book is what re-ignited by passion for books. Everything about this book screams amazing. The world of the Neverever is beautiful, dark and enticing.
Meghan Chase was just a normal teenage girl struggling with the drama of highschool...or so so she thought. She is actually a half-summer fey of the Summer court. Not only is she part fey but a fey princess, daughter of King Oberon. Julie expertly throws in facts, stories, and characters from A Midsummer's Night Dream.
After her half-brother is taken she dives into the world she has never known other than a fairy-tale. Her best friend is not who she thought he was but the infamous Robin Goodfellow, court jester to King Oberon. Along the way she runs into Ash, the winter prince, third son of Queen Mab. A hot fey who Meghan quickly falls for but their love is forbidden. A summer fey and winter fey are to never mingle. They are eternal enemies not to be fraternized with. But who can deny destined love. Ash was to never love again but even he, being an emotionless; cold-hearted fey, can't push away his feelings. Puck, Meghan, and Ash all set out to find Ethan, Meghan's little brother, from the hands of the Iron Court. The very people who can be the downfall to the oldbloods. Stakes are higher than ever and danger is waiting at every corner.
I had so much fun reading this book and re-read it twice before I got the second one. I recommend these books to every one who loves a bit of love conflict, suspense, emotional ties and a whole lot of sexy! :)

Winter's Passage (Iron Fey Series # 1.5)
Author: Julie Kagawa
Pages: 59
Goodreads synopsis:
Meghan Chase used to be an ordinary girl...until she discovered that she is really a faery princess. After escaping from the clutches of the deadly Iron fey, Meghan must follow through on her promise to return to the equally dangerous Winter Court with her forbidden love, Prince Ash. But first, Meghan has one request: that they visit Puck--Meghan's best friend and servant of her father, King Oberon--who was gravely injured defending Meghan from the Iron Fey.Yet Meghan and Ash's detour does not go unnoticed. They have caught the attention of an ancient, powerful hunter--a foe that even Ash may not be able to defeat....
I loved this short novella! It takes place right after the first book giving you an insight on what happened on their trip to the winter court. Their journey has been pretty smooth sailling except for Meghan's effect to the coldness there but other than that it was pretty good that is until the Big Bad Wolf shows up, literally. You know the one who stalked little Red Riding Hood, the immortal one? Ya that one. He was sent by King Oberon to save Meghan from Ash. Ash and him get into a bloody battle...bum..bumm....bummm.... Loved this little insight!!

Summer's Crossing (Iron Fey Series #3.5)Author: Julie Kagawa
Pages: 72
Goodreads synopsis:
A Midsummer's Nightmare? Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Summer Court prankster, King Oberon's right hand, bane of many a faery queen's existence—and secret friend to Prince Ash of the Winter Court. Until one girl's death came between them, and another girl stole both their hearts.
This was my favorite novella of the two. You got an insight of Puck and his real thoughts and emotions. What he really feels, thinks, and wants to do. Here he has to assist Ash in a way he could never do himself. And Puck has a difficult desision to make: help poor ice boy or use him to betray him so he could be with Meghan. He even gets permission from King Oberon himself! This was big!! I wanted to slap Puck so freaking hard during this read....but thats all I am saying. I defintetely recommend these novellas if you have read the series...and even those who haven't yet then... STOP WASTING TIME GO PICK ALL OF THESE ASAP!!!! hehe well only if you want to...who am I to force it upon you?

The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa
The Iron Queen (Iron Fey #3)
Author: Julie Kagawa
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Pages: 358
Goodreads synopsis:
~Summer Fades. Ice Melts. Here's What's Left.~
My name is Meghan Chase.
OK, I know I've said this before but it's really rare that I read a book I don't like. So: Omigod!!!! Ugh words can't express how much I loved this series!! I was on a road trip and we stopped at Wal-Mart to get a few things so I decided I wanted to get a book to read. When I went to the book section it was between the Iron Fey Series or Rick Riordan's new series. I was torn because I could have gotten either a series that was already finished (Iron Fey [so I thought at least]) or a series that just started (The Last Hero of Olympus). I put Riordan's book in the basket and at the last minute switched it with The Iron King. BEST.DECISION.EVER!!! I seriouslu can't stress enough of how much I love these books. They quickly became my favorite books I have ever read.
Everything about this series screams out amazing!! The whole world of the Neverever is beautiful and enticing. The Iron Fey has all the makings of a great series. It is dark, sexy, and even a bit humorous (favor of Robin Goodfellow). Julie Kagawa was just pure genius in her writing. She put together an awe-inspiring world with similarities to A Midnight Summer's Dream.
I also loved reading about the characters as they grew together and came out of all their trials despite their differences.
Meghan Chase was just a normal teen struggling to survive high school when she is forced to embrace her true heritage as a half-fey-half-human girl , daughter of King Oberon, because of her brothers kidnapping (The Iron King). Then as soon as she gets back she is again forced back to the Neverever but this time as a captive in the Unseelie Court because of her contract with the third Prince of the Unseelie Court, Queen Mab's son. Now she goes back again to help save the dying Neverever. A journey she might not even survive.
Throughout the books she grows tremendously from a clueless half-summer fey, to a heartbroken girl who longs for Ash and struggles to stop a war between the courts, to a determined young-women who will do anything and everything to save the world she has come accustomed to. You know the normal everyday trials a teenage girl goes through haha. I really liked Meghan. by the third books she is so head strong and determined she would do anything to save the Neverever and the ones she loves the most.
Ash, the third son of Mab, the queen of the Unseelie Court. Wow...what to say, what to say. Man, words just aren't enough when it comes to this hot winter prince. At first he is so shut off and uncaring that he kind of bugs the crap out of you but as you read on you realize that icy exterior was just a mask for the tortured soul that just longs to be loved again. After losing his first love he promise to kill his once best friend Robin Goodfellow to avenge her death. He ends up falling for Meghan and gripping your heart too. Ash is so very dreamy, loving, sexy, hot, smoldering....and the list goes on. His sweet-nothings and his undying love has me in a trance.
Puck, Oh, Puck. Man, I love him too!! He is so uber hilarious with his witty lines and care-free attitude. He is Meghan Chase's best friend and secret protector by order of King Oberon. As time went on Puck ended up falling hard for the Seelie princess. He will do anything and everything for her. Fight till the death, disobey King Oberon, get himself exiled...maybe even take a bullet??? Everything about Puck is funny loving and care-free I absolutely loved him too.
This whole book is about Meghan trying to save the Neverever from fading away due to the presence of the Iron Fey who are formed by the human dreams of technology and advancement. Iron is the Fey's deadly weakness that very well may be the downfall of it all. Because of Meghan's human blood she is the only one who can touch iron without it causing any damage to her. She doesn't fall back at the knowledge that by following through with this even she might not survive. No, she puts aside her selfish reasons and pride to help the people who at one point wanted her dead, who saw her as nothing but a weakling who could be played around with. The ending was completely unexpected. I hated it and then loved it. Julie beautifully crafted all the emotion making you feel every hurt, laugh, happiness, and tragedy.
I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone who enjoys suspense, love, humor, faeries, and some magic. I again will say absolutely in love with these books. Honestly this third book had me crying and not just simple crying like balling, having to read out load to just finish the book crying. She did a beautiful job. It was epic and enthralling. I re-read it over an over again loving it...then hating it all over again. Thralling over each heart-fluttering and heart-wrenching line...And now I just wait...wait for the fourth and final book in the series. Ash's story about him trying to over come the the barrier that lays between him and Meghan. To get his happily everafter.....Damn I can't wait any longer!! It's killing me!! :/
*Now for my favorite quotes of the book/series. It just isn't fair to have to chose two quotes when there is both Puck and Ash in it so I am going to give two for each of them!
***Warning!!!! May contain spoilers!! read at your own risk!!

But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.
This time, there will be no turning back.
"'I wouldn't defy Oberon for just anyone. But for you...' He leaned foward, touching his forehead to mine. 'I'd come back from the dead for you'"~ the infamous Robin Goodfellow
"For the rest of my life, however long we have left. I'll consider it an honor to die beside you." ~the amazing Ash
"'I love you dammit. I'm not going to watch you get torn apart when everything goes bad." ~ Puck
"A soft noise, almost a sob. Ash rose, hesitated, as if fighting the compulsion to obey. 'I will always be your knight, Meghan Chase,' he whispered in a strained voice, as if every moment he remained was painful to him. 'And I swear, if there is a way for us to be together, I will find it. No matter how long it takes. If I have to chase your soul to the ends of eternity, I won't stop until I find you, I promise." ~Ash
