What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?

~My Answer:

Ooooo...guilty pleasures....Hmm I think that would have to be contemporary at this moment. Its actually torture. I guess I'm just in this phase wear (yes you hear it all the time) I think I am "forever alone". ;P So because I am one lonely little bird (I know its for the best at the time...right now boys have absolutely no maturity at the age of 16 but hey!! I AM a girl!!) I like reading other's happy endings and the yummy boys I wish I could have. Then of course after finishing the books and all the happy feelings go away I am left depressed...until I start the next one. ;D
I also enjoy fantasy and historical fiction but I don't read them often. Its kind of like those treats you allow yourself to have every now and then. I like to savor them. I don't read them often so when I do its always ten times better. I don't have so many books to compare them to I guess.

    I know what you mean about needing to read romance because your a lone bird. I'm much older than you and am alone right now, too. Enter awesome books and book boyfriends. They just make life easier to cope with! :D Great answers! Happy Friday!

    Oh my gosh, yes, I love reading other people's happy endings. Because I get to experience those emotions, too. And I have lots of book boyfriends!! Lots!

    Oh if only Romance in novels could really be like reality, sometimes they're really not all that realistic, are they? But reading about yummy boys are my guilty pleasure too haha :)

    Contemporary books's happy endings do tend to be depressing when you're single. haha That's why I mostly stay away from the contemporary genre, but some books are just begging to be read (example: Stephanie Perkins).

    I like contemporary but read more paranormal books. :)

    My guilty pleasure is reading The Baby-sitter Club books even though I'm 31, lol. I can't help it - I loved them so much when I was a kid, and now I can share them with my daughter.
