Man, oh man. I fell for this series hard.

Ever since Julie Kagawa's Iron Fae Series, I have had a certain soft spot for fae oriented books. They're just magical! Especially when done right. I will admit, it is also because of Kagawa's series that I'm kind of picky when it comes to fae books. Those that tell the tale of small beautiful little pixies that are light and fluffy and just cute as a button...I can't do. Now, those that tell the tale a little closer to Shakespear's A Midnight Summer's Night Dream, where the fae are not so nice but mighty, powerful creatures who are to be feared and will take your first born child...that's more my cup of tea.

Now, there are some things that Maas strays away from like: faeries can lie, iron does not effect them, and there are lot more courts. Like, a LOT more. Normally its Unseelie and Seelie courts (winter and summer with the occasional spring and autumn courts too). In this world there are also what Maas calls Solar Courts (day, night, and dawn) which really I had no problem with it was just, new. I loved it! Sometimes fae books can be too repetitive and changing it up, getting a little creative with it, that never ever hurts. Honestly, this book is really what threw me back into a series of reading none stop and even kind of encouraged me to start up blogging and writing again!

I had started to read Maas' Assassins series when they came out and I'm pretty sure I own all of them I just stopped around book 2. I can't necessarily say it was because they bored me I think it was just around the time where everything became too much for me. That being sad, Maas created a series in which I NEVER wanted to put them down. I devoured these books. Her characters are superb....well, some of them. Her ability to tell a tale about an old world and create it anew was remarkable! Her attention to detail without going on in a way that leaves us all snoozing was appreciated and well acknowledged by me. Annnnnd....

She gave me another boy to constantly swoon over. Well, she kind of gave me three.

I know there was some controversy over these books in the fact of the second book.

Tamlin. The change of character from him was kind of whiplash. I liked him I admit but I never loved him. Rhys on the other hand I can say intrigued me from Feyre and his briefest of meetings in the first book. Back to Tamlin, he turns possessive and essentially abusive. Again, I didn't love him but seeing it turn that way so fast was shocking. I kind of felt bad as I knew he had just really loved her but it does address that line between love and obsession and that love should never be an obsession. I just really didn't see it coming.

Lucien. Lucien really hurt me. Like, yeah he wasn't the greatest but he also was fae. Coe on people, they aren't the sweet and innocent fairies we all have been trained to think about and I think thats really what you have to keep in the back of your mind throughout this series. Fae are conniving creatures. They are not innocent. They are ruthless and they are powerful. They are a different race so they're way of feeling love and expressing it isn't going to be the way we think of naturally. Anyways, back to Lucien. Yeah, he wasn't the best but I feel like he trully was a friend of Feyre's and when he essentially turned evil or well made out to be worse, I was hurt. I liked him and hated that he was ever pictured differently.

It's kind of hard to write a review over a series but I read way to fast through these to individually review them.

In summary:

Book 1: Read it. It is a little slow and harder at points to get through but about 3/4 of the way in and you won't be wanting to put it down. Everything that's been building up comes together and its fantastic. Its terrible in the best of ways and you will want the second one at your bed side so you can immediately keep going.

Book 2: Oh. My. Gosh. I died. This book...it killed me. Every time I had to put it down because I had to go to work or had some adulting responsibility I cried a bit in side. It had me wanting to read at all the red lights (don't read and drive kids) I didn't! But I wanted to because every second away killed me. This book is forever one of my favorite books. I will carry it with me through old age. There were times I had to re-read pages, lines, paragraphs over and over because they just filled me with so much emotion. After finishing it I went back and re-read those all over again. You need this. You need this bad.

The character development in it was probably my favorite thing here. Mor, Cassian, Azriel, Amren, even Feyre. I loved Feyre but in the beginning I sort of hated her. She gave off way too much of a Bella Swan vibe that I was definitely not digging. I kept wanting to slap her and pick her up and tell her she could do this. And then she snapped and I was loving her all over again. She's kick ass, independent and everything you want in a heroine. She goes on a journey you can affiliate with (maybe not directly for all but in some aspects) and respect.

Book 3: My god. My...god. Ah, it has been a long while since I've read something so wonderful. Maas is a wonderful story teller. Her character development is astounding. With creating an entirely new world, or in this case putting a spin on an old world tale (the fae) comes a lot of characters. It is not one like contemporary novels where you can get away with a main character, a love interest, some family and some friends. To make a world believable, one needs many characters that thicken the plot and draw you in deeper. That being said, some books like this end up either 1. creating too many characters or 2. creating many characters that bleed into each other, unidentifiable and have you stopping, asking yourself "who is this again" and having to backtrack to clear things up. This is not a problem for Maas. She is exceptional in this art. Every character is unique and they aren't 2 dimensional. She creates realistic characters. As realistic as you can get for being fae...you're never going to get human characters if they are ethereal beings.

This one was so long. But highly worth it. Sometimes you get a long "final book" and it has just dragged on or you get a long final book and it could have been two books. This I feel was perfect. Two books had been leading up to the end and it wasn't rushed, or prolonged. It was fantastically seen through.

I could go on forever about this series. I loved it. It is now sitting on my most coveted book shelf--my "need in order to breath" book shelves. The characters I think are really what had me in love so much with this series. I think I hated every single character at some point in time and then found love for every single one as well. She had me all over the place but in the best way possible. In short, its an excellent series. I want it for the rest of my life.

I have only one negative/warning if you want to read this series. It's not for kids. Honestly I'm not sure I would recommend it for anyone younger than 18. At points I felt I was reading erotica. It was sexy and exciting but it could be a bit much for younger peeps.

That is all I have to say about it in a "negative" tone. Other than that. Go. Go run to the store right now and get this series if you haven't quite yet.

  Holy Shit...Just...just wow. I understand shit can't be holy but this shit is holy. Hahaha jkjk!! I can't even associated shit and any piece of Julie Kagawa's work in the same sentence. Its offending. Let's start over shall we?                                                     *Rewinds*

  Wow! Has Julie done it again or no? No, she has exceeded! If you knew me well and someone asked who my favorite author was it'd be so easy to answer. Answer: Julie Kagawa. Hands down. No competition. She has the remarkable way with words. She has one of those gifts that are so natural. Some people are good authors. Some are great. Some are so good that you know that's what they live and breathe. The talent just oozes out of them *rewinds* (I hate the word oozes). The talent just flows so easily. Its effortless. For them to do anything else would be absurd. I mean she is very talented in other things as well but what I am trying to say is that there are some people who are born to do a certain thing. Julie was born to write, to steal our breaths and hearts with every word she puts to paper, every character she creates, every plot, every story.

  She is extremely talented. Her writing is flawless. The ability she has to capture readers attention from the very first page is incredible. It's what miracles are made of ;D Too cheesy? Too bad. ;P I seriously have trouble with each review I do of one of her books. It's hard to find the right words. No matter what I do I can't seem to bring justice to her books. I can't explain just how amazing her and her books are. I end up just saying to read it for yourself and find out. To experience it for yourself because that's the only way you will truly understand.

  This book was like a maze. You never knew what was lurking around the corner. Was it going to be sudden death? A trap? A dead end (there is no such thing in Julie's book mazes)? A fountain of fortune? A home free run? Every page amazed me more than the last. I was hooked. No, I was transfixed. There would be little to no action at one point and then BOOM! There is action galore and your brain can't process is so you have to go back just to make sure you didn't miss anything or make it all up in your head. One part in particular made me double...triple my steps back. It happened so quick and the catastrophe was so catastrophic I was like wth!? What the hell just happened and what did I miss? It was seriously in the blink of an eye and everything went to hell. My goodness!!! I couldn't help be taken back by the genius that Julie Kagawa produced sometimes.

  The characters are awesome. I love Allie. She is cool and that katana of hers is the definition of kick-ass. I even enjoyed Jackal's presence. I love the snide remarks, wit, and all around comic relief he blesses us with. I bet he would completely enjoy that statement. Allie and Jackal's conversations were hilarious. I am not convinced that Jackal is on the good side. Why? Because he isn't plain and simple. He is on the side that has the upper hand. What he does is for himself. If he sees it benefiting him he will jump in. If he sees it as sudden death he won't. Don't let him full you. Kanin. Man that was some rough stuff. Sarren *shivers* Now THAT is an evil character. The amount of goosebumps and shivers he managed to draw from me is ridiculous. That guy is seriously creepy, insane, morbid, and did I mention...evil!!? Zeke. *sighs* Oh Zeke. I love you like I love pizza...and that is a lot. Man this boy is totes adorbs ;P He is so pure and loving you can't help but be attracted and swooned.

  That ending. Sweet baby Jesus. I died. That was one of the worst endings you could possible have! I knew it. I knew that was going to be the case because of who Sarren is and he doesn't give you what you want....sometimes death is too easy. He will give you exactly what you don't want. The thing you would rather die than have. Goodness....I can't believe Julie actually followed through. I have no hope for the next book because it has nothing going for it but tragedy. Julie Kagawa is finally going to rip my heart out. Seven books later of hers and I am finally going to have nothing left. She keeps stealing piece after piece of my heart and with this final book in the Blood of Eden series it's all going to be gone. I am going to be a zombie: emotionless, starved, and depressed. ;P That's the thing. Her writing is so incredible that she leaves you so vulnerable. She holds your heart, mind and emotions in the palm of her hand. Every book of hers does that. She is a cruel cruel mistress that you can't help but love. *sings* And I hate how I love you so...*stops singing* (Ne-yo and Rihanna)

  I can only complain about one thing in this series: the book cover switch. I have a major reading pet peeve. Well I have a few but one is the following: when half way through the series they decide to change the covers. I like my books to match. They don't match when you go and redesign the rest of the freaking series. I like the new cover (its cooler when you can see it all. When you take the book jacket off it has Allie and her katana, same with the book flaps) but I would have preferred they made up their minds before releasing the first book!

  In a world over stocked on vampire books Julie throws her piece into the mix and shakes it all up. There is no going back once you read this series. The Blood of Eden trilogy is sure to out shine every vampire book in the Young Adult genre today. It's refreshing, riveting and ravishing. (Don't judge the word choice I needed three "r" words) ;P I'm not joking. This is a series sure to sweep you off your feet. I tend to like the more realistic books and this is as real as vampires get. No "shining in the sun light" vegetarian crap. It's creepy, thrilling and heart-throbbing. These books got it all: romance, action, blood and gore, heroism, all of it! Read this book. Then read all her other books. They are all amazing. I will swear up and down on Julie Kagawa and all her series. They are what greatness is made of. Plain and simple.

  Wowy-Wow-Wow-Wow!!! Wow. I was recommended this book by a friend and because of the amount of trust I have in his choices, I was all for starting it. No questions asked. So, I downloaded the book and began reading. As I began reading I found out that it was an alien-post-apocalyptic book. Only one problem...I am NOT a huge alien book fan. I don't know why but the subjects of aliens in YA just don't please me. I don't like them very often. I have read one series that was about aliens and even though I liked it I didn't particularly care for it. So after telling my friend that I don't like alien books he told me to shut up and read the book ;P He claimed it was good and again because of my trust in his likes I continued to read. Not only that but after looking at my goodreads friend's reviews I decided it might be worth it...the worst that could happen is I hated it right? Right.

  So, the question is...did I end up hating it? Uhm..hell no I didn't! I am so glad I continued to read it. This is one of those rare books that have genius written all over it. Rick Yancey is just that...a genius. It is true without a doubt. His writing is superb. Now this is a well written book. The way he wrote every character is outstanding! I immediately fell in love with Cassie's POV and then Ethan's (even though we only got one chapter from him! Total and only disappointment I had with this book) and her brother's and then well...I better not mention the other one since it is kind of a spoiler. Anyways, point is is that Rick Yancey puts a whole new definition to the word "talented". I am pretty sure that if you look the word "talented", "genius", "creative", and "unique" Rick Yancey's name would be under each and everyone of those.

  I don't even know how to explain his writing. It is something that you have to read for yourself. Its not crazy philosophical or lyrical or anything like that. It is probably so enjoyable because of how true it is. His writing is realistic. The way he thinks it all out. His characters especially. I am sorry but I have a hard time believing that if a post-apocalyptic event like the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, wave happened no 16 year old girl would go out into the streets without any fear, full combat skills, or all that mumbo-jumbo. Its cool to read about those stuff but it makes the story that much more fictional and as enjoyable as that is it doesn't quite hook you like a more realistic fictional story does. If that makes any sense at all. Cassie is just one teen girl looking to survive for herself, her father and her little brother. She has to make life risking decisions and choices that have ultimate consequences. She is scared and frightened and she keeps this journal where she documents everything that has happened and the war going on in her mind. It was beautiful!

  I think Cassie was a hell of a lot more enjoyable than Katniss! She was snarky and funny. Cassie is brave and strong in ways Katniss can never be. Seriously, Katniss and The Hunger Games better watch out. Rick Yancey has one hell of a series that is going to put both to shame! Sorry. The truth that Mr. Yancey puts behind every character's actions was what hooked me the most. At the end of the book I was left wondering how my actions might be different and how I may or may not be able to survive if something like this were to happen. So in case you haven't gotten the hint yet, The 5th Wave has different POVS. While I love when authors do this I also hate it. Only for one reason though. Reason being, they end each POV at the worst possible moment and I am left wanting to skip the next POV so that I can finish the one I was just reading. It is a torturous method.

  While there was some great action in this book, it wasn't action at every corner. That being said, when there was action I about died every time. There at the end my feels were feeling too many feels that I think I might have almost passed out from the amount of hyperventilating I was doing. No. Joke. And then by the end of the book...this was my reaction (according to my last Goodreads update):

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can't end a book like that!!!!! where the he'll is Evan!!!!?? I want me some Evan!!!!! DAMN IT!!!! Please tell me the sequel is out tomorrow...next week...o wouldn't even mind a month..."

  Ya, I pretty much through an emotional ride hissy fit. ;P What can I say!? Its the effects of reading this wondrous book! There were so many great things in this book you can't even count them individually. You just have to wrap them all up in a pretty bow and call them The 5th Wave. Yes, because the entire book was awesomesauce. So wait? What about the whole alien bit? It didn't faze me? Nope. It was a different kind of alien lore. It was different enough for me to realize it was aliens but not feel as if they were aliens. I know, doesn't make sense. Basically I was able to look over the whole alien bit and enjoy the book for everything it was. I actually really enjoyed the alien bit! Rick Yancey's The 5th Wave was an exception to my "hate alien books" rule.

  I can seriously not complain about one thing in The 5th Wave. It was incredible! I ate this book like it was my favorite pizza! I completely devoured it. I can't wait any longer for book two. I seriously need it ASAP! The way it ended...was cruel. I can't see where Rick takes this series. I am a HUGE Rick Yancey fan everyone. He is a true genius and now a huge favorite of mine! If you are a fan of The Hunger Games then be prepared to have your socks blown off. I honestly think that everyone should go out and buy a copy so they can read the thrilling adventure that is The 5th Wave. This is one of those 2013 books you NEED. If you are looking around and need a book to read this should be your first choice. Once I could put my alien book hate I was hooked. I didn't want to put it down. There is a reason this book is on my "need in order to breathe" shelf. Its one of those rare books I am going to keep around for as long as I live. One that I will snuggle with at night. One that I will re-read till its worn and falling apart. One that will follow me everywhere I go. It is a part of my heart now and it always will be! THAT my friends is where my love of this book exceeds and the amount of amazeballs it is. ;D

~Review:
  The Legacy of the Clockwork Key is one of those other 2013 debuts that just rock your socks! I loved it to absolutely no end!! There have been about 4 books that have been released this year that have already made my top 5! This my friends, would be one of them. I absolutely love steampunk novels but I read them so rarely. So it’s one of those genres (and I am sure you have heard me mention this several different times on SEVERAL different occasions and are probably tired of it but I shall say it one more time!!) that are kind of savored. There are SO many dystopian and SO many vampire books, werewolf books, etc. that there tends to be nothing special about them. Ok, so there is a lot of special going on with them. Each author has their own way of making it unique and absolutely fantastic but what I mean to say is that..well…

  Ok, so let’s say that your favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies but your mother (husband, wife, brother, sister, best friends…dog! Whoever is going to buy you a chocolate chip cookie!!) only buys you one per month. Are you going to savor that cookie? Yes. Why? Because it’s a rare gift. You only get it once a month. Its holds value because of its ????. Now if your friend started you getting you a cookie every day would you look forward to it as much? Again, you are still going to enjoy it because well..it’s one of your most favorite desserts! Its good. It could be great but because of that lack of rarity you don’t enjoy it as much.” Oh ya! A chocolate chip cookie. I get one of those every day…” See my point?

  Anyways!! Enough about chocolate chip cookies. This is supposed to be about Kristin Bailey, The Legacy of the Clockwork Key and Kristin Bailey’s debut of The Legacy of the Clockwork Key. I think you are beginning to see my love of steampunks and how that all goes now right? Yes, so wow. Just wow. I never could have guessed what I was going to receive after I opened Bailey’s debut. I knew it was going to be steampunk. I knew it was set in Victorian London. I knew it had something to do with a clockwork key and the legacy it withheld. I knew that more than likely it would be good. I knew that I enjoyed steampunks. What I didn't know? I didn’t know that there was going to be all sorts of genius wrapped up in ??? pages. I was blown away. Kristin Bailey has one talented hand that’s for sure! The amount of imagination and detail that went into this book is unbelievable. She has made a favorite out of me! A HUGE one I might add.

  The voice she puts into ??? is transfixing. The story flowed so well there was no way I could put it down. I didn't WANT to put it down. The characters were a joy. The mystery was very much enticing. The automatons were magical. There were times I had to remind myself that this was indeed a steampunk and not one once of fantasy or magic was a part of this book.  THAT is how amazing Kristin Bailey’s writing is. THAT is how incredible this book is. I felt as if I had jumped into the pages and joined Will and Meg on their adventure. Oh how I wish I could have! Especially just to meet Will ;D

  This book had everything. The romance was splendid. Not only did we have some romance going on between our main characters but also from the side characters. Oliver and Lucinda were just plain out adorable! You guys seriously have to try this book on for size. If you haven’t ever touched a steampunk book, start with this one, fall in love and thank later ;D I know I always say “this is a book you don’t want to miss out on”, but it’s true. When I say that line I mean it with every fiber of my body. I literally want you to understand that missing this book will be a tragic book crime. So, people, go out and get your little hands on this book ASAP. You do NOT want to miss out on the start to what I can tell is going to be a phenomenal series. (see that I changed the words up a bit ;D Same meaning though. ;P). I seriously don’t think I can wait a whole year for book two. Why do book releases have to be so tormenting ;)

~Review:
  Chelsea Pitcher is one of those authors you read from and think, KNOW that they were born for that exact reason. To steal readers breath and capture, squeeze and tear your heart. To shower us with such an abundance of love for the words they are so blessed to create and we are lucky enough to read. The story just flows as if it was as easy as breathing for them. Her writing is flawless and gorgeous. I have no words to even come close to delivering justice to the amount of talent of Miss Pitcher and the riveting story we call The S-Word.

  I was completely transfixed in this book!! I couldn't put it down and it literally pained me....PAINED ME to have to put it down for those silly little thugs like sleep and homework. I didn't WANT to put it down. I wanted to read it all the way through and at the same time, go as slow as possible just so the amazingness could never end....then again I wanted to know the end. This book was filled with bitter sweetness.
 
  The characters!! Oh the characters!! Some instantly click with you (Jesse) and others take more time to grow on you or well in some cases reveal their true selves. Woah!! How many twist and turns were there? How many times was I side swept!!?? Let me tell you...way too many!!! But it was so good!!! Sometimes I would read those little surprises and close the book, breathe in, breathe out, lay back and just die a little. The notes. The notes were what pained me the most. It actually hurt. My stomach and heart were pained by the pain of memories and the horrid words spoke, and the actions made.

  I literally have no clue what else to say other than read this book when it comes out. Please. I need everyone to read it. It's so worth it and amazing and fantastic and everyone who can read needs to experience the wonder that is The S-Word. I have become such a huge monster fan of Chelsea Pitcher because of this book. Her writing is extraordinary and her ability to master a story like this is beyond this world. I literally kissed the book after I turned the last page. I didn't want to read anything for about 3 days just because of the amount of impact the book had on me. It needed breathing room. I....I think I should just go now.

  Read the book ok guys? The S-Word is a 2013 you don't want to miss. I'm not even joking. This is one of the rare 5 star books. I don't give 5 stars unless they are rightly deserved. This book belongs to my need-in-order-to-breathe book shelf. It is one that I will make sure to carry around with me wherever I go during my life. One that I will read from beginning to end the rest of my life. One that I will never tire of. Thank you. Thank you Chelsea Pitcher for being the genius you are and writing The S-Word so all of us could experience your genius and one of the greatest stories ever written. I seriously would put it up with John Greene and his The Fault in Our Stars. Like TFOS, The S-Word had me feeling so many feels it was ridiculous!!! Also, if you have vet read Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher...this book is a must!! I can't wait to see where Chelsea's career in the Young-Adult literature life takes her. I am starving for more of her work! Hear that? Get crack-a-lackin!! ;D Ok ok so NOW I'm done!!!

  Where do I even start? This book blew me away! I absolutely love retellings especially when they are done as great as this one. Right off the bat I was hooked. From the crazy, exotic and beautiful cover, the Wonderland embellishments on the pages, the story in itself and the writing this book was flipping fantastic! Everything in this book was amazing and I fell hard for this book. There is a certain list I have which is named "books-I-need-in-order-to-breath" and in it are all the books I can not live without. They are the books that have blown my mind and captured my heart. They are the ones I will move from house to house till I die and read over and over. My friends, this is one of those books. I knew it was going to belong there from the beginning. I knew it was going to be great and I had such HIGH expectations. You guys know what happens usually happens when you high expectations....it flops. It isn't that great and actually is worse just because of the expectations but this one is so great it actually EXCEEDED my expectations...and that bar was set really high.

  You really don't know true genius till you have read this book. The characters and story Howard twisted was phenomenal! I loved seeing Wonderland in a whole new way. I really can't put into words how much I enjoyed this book. It was beautifully crafted and told through such a strong character you can't help but love. I love Alyssa. She was strong, crazy and a really great character to follow around. Jeb was one of the best guys in all my time of reading. He was strong, fierce, protective and all together uhm...HOT! He is definitely in my top 10. Then there is Morpheus...the most mysterious, hot and incredibly irritating character you will ever love to hate. He really throws your emotions into wack. You love him SO much and then you hate him more. You never knew what to think with him. Was he tricking her? Was that love you just saw? Does he care? Is he playing? What the heck are you doing!!!!? Gosh he was SOOO irritating. I wanted to slap him so many times and then the next page I was begging for a kiss. I was hoping for something that I wasn't sure he would give. I totally loved hating him. I always loved Jeb more...until I didn't. Then I did...then I didn't. This one was hard but at the same time it was never trully a love triangle because of Morpheus' tricky moods.

  Then there was the end...holy shit that end. Truly genius and nerve racking! I was crying, yelling and jumping up and down. Morpheus is not the only one who messes with your emotions and mind. The whole book in itself does it. The descriptions and world based retelling Howard created was truly genius. There is no other word but genius to refer to Howard's writing and story telling. I felt as if I was really there in wonderland! Gosh! I really don't know how to stress for my love of this book. It leaves an imprint on your heart and mind that has you thinking about it way after finishing it. Amazing! This book was magical! Splintered is captivating and intoxicating. Wonderful and frightening. It was everything I love in a book and SO much more....I am in love. Head over heals in love!!! Everyone needs to read it...everyone! Like me you will not want to put this book down until it is finished. I recommend this book to everyone...don't borrow. Buy...you want this beauty on your shelf..trust me ;D

  EE!! Let's just say that ever since seeing this book for the first time I knew I needed to read it. The synopsis sounded incredible and the cover was cute and fun. A story set in London? Ya, just added to all the loveliness! What girl can resist a story set in a foreign city, a mystery, a girl set on one thing and finding herself presently surprised? Mmmm none that I know of.

  The book starts off great. Humor, back story, and insight to the character traits of the protagonist. Julia is one of those headstrong girls who has got her life all mapped out. She is a sucker for true love. Her parents were the perfect example after all. Destiny. Meant to be's. She knows it all. She is a straight-A girl who likes things to be in her control. She has a total opposite who annoys the crap out of her and that person is Jason. Fun, up-beat, I-don't-have-a-care-in-the-world Jason. He believes in fate. Things will map themselves out. There is no need for laying out your own life...it will all come to be. Why waste life on making sure it all goes like you want it when you can just enjoy yourself? He is loud, obnoxious, funny, and a total prankster. And...he just so happens to be Julia's partner on the trip. Great!

  I loved Julia. She was a protagonist I loved reading from. She was smart, witty, and had herself in order. She was determined. I liked her "hard" side. It made her credible and admirable  I admired her hopes, dreams, and ambitions. She was driven to complete all of them and I can totally appraise her for it. I LOVED Jason! He was...AH! I don't normally go for the ginger boys but...he and Puck seem to be my exceptions to the rule. He did remind me of Puck (The Iron Fey) and that made him just that more likeable. He was fun, energetic and totally sweet when he needed to be. He truly liked Julia but they had the worst ways of acknowledging it and showing it. They weren't the perfect couple but that's why I liked them so much. they fought, they screamed at each other, they hated each other at times and couldn't stand each other's presence....but at the end...they managed to forgive and get along. And eventually ***Spoiler*** love! It was real and true. No real love is all daisies and rainbows. Couples argue and fight. The true love is imperfect. And that's what theirs was. Perfectly imperfect. Real. It made me jealous!

  Morrill is a wonderful writer. Her story had me hooked from page one then staying up till the early a.m. on a school night...leaving me with only 3 hours of sleep! (Shhh...don't tell my parents!) I was so enthralled with Meant To Be I couldn't stop until the book was done. I loved it! Meant To Be is an adorable read. It will have you hanging on every last word and leave you with a hunger for more! I loved this book SO much it hurt! I laughed. I teared up. I screamed and threw my iPod at my bed. I giggled. I got those silly little butterflies in my stomach. I got jealous! Julia and Jason were a couple to look forward to in your teenage years. Jason brought the best, fun side out of her and she brought out the best, deeper side of him. That ending! Not exactly what I thought was going to happen! It surprised me! And here I thought I had it all mapped out! (Guess I need to learn from Julia hah?) I recommend this book to everyone and anyone who enjoys a cute, light hearted, adorable, and realistic contemporary read. I enjoyed it thoroughly and will read it over and over several times in the future for sure! I need to own this one! Oh, and you know that lately, I don't give out 5 stars to just any book. So when I do...its definitely amazing! So......

  So I bet you have heard all the corny stuff about this book being so "easy" to fall into its pages and fall in love with every last word. Well truth is....its true. It is SO easy to fall in love with every page, every word, every. single. thing. this book has to offer. It is a little older in the Young-Adult genre making it Young/New Adult. And I loved it! I loved the college atmosphere, the maturity and the plot of it all.

  Now be for-warned when you read this. This might not be something people younger than 15. It depends on your maturity level and what exactly you have been exposed to. Because you know the stories of college. The late nights, the crazy parties, the alcohol, the drugs and yes...that three letter words some of use love to hate...S-E-X. I have heard several things about sex in young adult books. Do you know what? This isn't young adult...its Mature Adult. I know people get uncomfortable with sex in books but it also depends on the author. Its all in the discretion of the reader and writer. Some people think its too much, too little, I don't know but for me this was fine. Yes, it got a bit descriptive at times but nothing uncomfortable. My tolerance level might be different for mine. So, going into this book...be warned. Use discretion.

  Now....that's over. I just wanted people to know. No one likes to be surprised with something and then ruin the book for them. It so didnt for me though. I loved this book with a passion! I liked Jacqueline. She was sweet and down to earth. She was normal and relateable. I like that in my protagonist. Someone who someone else can find something in common with. She was heartbroken and she was in need of love...but then one dark night...she needs a savior and TADA!! Savior and love come in one tidy package! :D Gah!! I loved Lucas! Like soo much!! He is the perfect bad boy with the twisted past (I wanted to cry when that was revealed!!) and the nice, considerate side that we all love our bad boy to have. *swoon!*

  This book was purely perfection! I loved, swooned, teared up, and laughed my butt off! Especially this one scene involving defense class, and the lawnmower! OMG...I died!!!!!! And will forever keep that in mind if I ever need it..hopefully never will but its noted! ;D There was humor, love, heartbreak, and the all important lesson of finding yourself and the one you love. I have so many thoughts and feelings for this book...its too much! What do I suggest? BUY! BUY! BUY!! You will not regret it! This book will forever hold a favorite spot in my Kindle! But I would prefer to own it in physical form...so when Penguin publishes this baby in November?? (yes it got publishing rights!! Congrats!!) buy it! I loved with a love so hard for this book! Did I mention that already?? Haha seriously you guys this is a book you don't want to miss! <3

  I was so happy to receive an advanced readers copy of The Forsaken! Miss Stasse is one of the sweetest authors and I was thrilled to read her book! But even though the author may be nice....when it comes down to a review...you have to be honest. Good or Bad? SOOO good! I loved this book! I especially loved how the setting wasnt so far in the future. Today, most dystopian books are set where the new government has been around for decades or centuries. This one was fresh and new. Which made it that much more believable. I loved the world set up.

  Now, nothing is cooler than the Wheel, a place where those teens who have failed the personality test are sent...to die (basically). With harsh conditions, wild animals, and a crazy brainwashed tribe of teens....the Wheel is someplace I do not want to be sent. But...at the same time..I do...no, I don't..maybe? There is seriously danger surrounding you! This place is crazy intense and super scary. I loved it! And another thing I loved...the characters! My fav...Daniel haha idk why but I just did! But he has his secrets...secrets that may just tie him to the enemy tribe...dude! Those guys were freaky! *shivers* Ya, no chit-chat with those brain-washed crazies!! 

  And the main character, Alenna, was absolutely awesome! I loved how she wasn't the hard-as-steal kick ass character but also wasn't the poor-me-I-can't-do-this whinny character that everyone hates. She was her own mix. Her own kick-ass character that I loved! Yes, she wasn't slaying every bad guy she came across with....and she was whinny at times..but...do you know what? After she whined, she would see it and try hard to face that fear and become better..even if she sucked at first. She never gave up. She was real, reliable, relatable, believable. Who the hell goes from city girl to goddess warrior in one day? No one! You have to be trained, work hard, learn to survive! And that is exactly what Alenna did. And that's why I liked her so much. She's not afraid to admit she is scared but she doesn't let that fear consume her. Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

"'That's llife on the wheel for you.' She looks me square in the face. 'Having second thoughts?'

Definately! But I'm still going.'"

  See? She is scared..but she is willing to do what she needs to do anyways! Love her! Haha and...insert romance....I loved Liam and Alenna! Their relationship didn't move to fast but when you are on the wheel...you kinda have to seize the moment you know? So fast but..not too fast. And it was innocent and so very cute! Can't wait for more!! :D

  With danger lurking in every shadow, crazy blood-thirsty teenagers, and innocent love, The Forsaken was a pleasant surprise. For me, even better than the Hunger Games! While reading the HG at times I felt the characters lacked depth, but The Forsaken's characters were real and had the depth I like all characters to have. The Wheel was intense and crazily scary! Lisa's writing pulled me in and had me wanting more when it all ended! I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. A great debut title and a new favorite series! If you are a fan of Divergent and the Hunger Games, you will love this book too! Get your little hands on a copy when you can!

~Review:
  Zombie book number two....my reaction...HOLY FREAKING MOTHER OF PEARLS!!!!!! This book is so different from the first zombie book I read: Die For Me. While Die For Me is still a zombie book...it is better classified as a revenant book. Yes, they are zombies but not the flesh-eating-corpse-looking-mindless zombies that you normally imagine when you hear the word..."zombie". Now with Dearly, Departed....that is exactly what you get and exactly what I wanted...but 100x better!

  I don't even know where to begin on the list of things that made this book so good. First off, I guess, would have to be what the book is. Ya, like, its genre. It is a dystopian, steampunk, paranoramal romance, action, thriller...all wrapped up into one! Woah. I know! It blew my mind too. This book being all that was said above..made it absolutely amazing! I am forever in love with the Victorian Age. Zombies with manners...ya mind blown twice already I know! ;D Yes, some of those zombies aren't so bad they have manners! They have normal thoughts. feelings, emotions. This book just continued to blow my mind. Page after page, after wonderful page!

  I loved everything from each character: zombie and human, the witty humor between those characters, the awesome butt-kicking zombie lore, the cool gadgets and goodness..everything! I especially loved the different POV's as vast as they were. Yupp! Not just Nora's POV, not Nora and Bram's POV but also Victor's, Pamelah's, and Wolfe's!!! I loved getting to see the world throught there eyes!! This book was well thought out and ingeniously writin out!

  Dearly, Departed  was oh-so unique, captivating and just plain out awesome. This is a book I will never forget and look forward to reading over and over. While it gave me goose-bumps at some parts it also gave me butterflies with Bram and Norah's unique love. You understood the new world and how it came to be without being dragged through a boring and long history. She made it simple. sweet. but yet understandable and in a neatly disguised way not a BAM! Let me give you a run down of all that happened. I enjoyed how the history of the New Victorian era came to be. I am soo excited to read the second book! Both cover's are absolutely gorgeous! I am now a great fan of both zombies and Lia Habel. Can't wait to see what she has in store!! :D Wonderfully amazing!! I really loved this book! ..Can you tell? ;)

  So you know those books where you completely lose track of when you started and when you ended? Those books that leave you giddy and smiling during the WHOLE book and for DAYS after you have finished the book? Those books where you are at a complete loss for words? Ya, well, Lola and the Boy Next Door is one of those books!

  I loved Mrs. Perkins first book, Anna and the French Kiss, it is easily my favorite contemporary book!! So when I finally got a chance to read this one, after hearing all the greatness about it, I was scared. When I get hyped up about a book and expect it to be as great as everyone says it is....I end up really not liking the book. And I wanted to like this book. I really did! And guess what? This book lived up to its hype and actually managed to exceed it!!

  I wasn't sure about Lola at first but she quickly became a favorite fictional character of mine! She is so quirky and cute and absolutely likeable! I loved all her crazy costumes and her family and her thoughts! And Cricket!!!!! Omf(reakin)g!! This boy....he is...wow! I didn't think he could have ever been as amazingly adorable and freakin fantabulous as he was and is! I am in love with this boy! And 6' 4"??? Yes please! Being a 5'9" girl..finding tall guys who are as cute and nice and smart as Cricket is a hard package to find...and this boy is the whole package! <3 

 (I think I still like Etienne more...idk! These boys are too amazing!) And as amazing as they are....Mrs. Perkins has a way of making these boys she creates flawed...and that is absolutely GREAT! They are flawed in a way where they are believable. real. not too fictionally perfect! <3 <3 And holy crap!!! I think my favorite part of the whole book was how Stephanie added Anna and Etienne to the book's mix. And not just a quick glimpse but actually making them important side characters! I LOVED that!!! I wasn't reading and missing them 'cus they were THERE...in the story....friends of both Cricket AND Lola!!! :O :D

  Lola and the Boy Next Door is a great and fun read. A perfect dose of laughs, swoons, tears, gut wrenching drama/suspense and butterflies! This book was incredible! Definitely in my top 5 of favorite contemporaries! I really hope I never have to say "Awe I wish Stephanie Perkins still wrote Young-Adult contemporary". Because she better never stop writing! I will throw a temper tantrum and cry my eyes out! ;) She is such an amazing writing! She knows how to draw in readers and create the most adorable yet believable love stories for teens! If you haven't read one of her two books you better get on it..these are some books you DONT want to miss out on!

 I have been waiting forever to read this book! Amy Plum's Revenant Series is by far one of my favorite books of all time. She gave me to obsessions...zombies...and Paris. Now I want to travel to France and visit all the gorgeous scenery we get a taste of in these books and of course learn the language of love ;) Oh! And meet some hot French boys!! Duh!! ;)

 Being the second book....it was very much a second book. But only in the informative way. This book was still greatly amazing and thankfully had not caught the second-book-syndrome.  In Until I Die we get more insight into what the Revenants are and their culture and immortality facts. Which, being a crazy Revenant lover, enjoyed very much! In Die For Me some stuff wasn't explained. I had a couple of questions that nevr got answered but thanks to book number two all of them were pretty much answered! :) 

 I loved getting to see more of my favorite characters! Ooooo and Jules!! Mmm mmm mmm!! He, my friends, is close to coming out of the closet wouldn't you say? Cus I distinctly remember he was a bit questiony in a specific car ride.....I will say no more but I wish HE would! ;D Of course I am madly in love with Vincent also. I mean come on...he's Vincent for crying out loud! I also loved the newest character (guy) he kind of grew on me....even when all the assumptions were going on...(sorry my lips are sealed).

 My heart was being wrenched through the journey of Kate and Vincent's battle to find a way for their love to last. Gah!! Isn't being in love with a zombie so hard!!? Yes, it is. It is extremely hard. Oh!! And poor poor Vincent! In the beginning with his tired bruises and *chokes up* I was rooting him and Kate on! Find it! Find it! And man oh man! Kate is one strong character! I love her! And uhem....I have my suspicions... old prophecy....you know the one! (well, if you haven't read it then I guess you don't but that just gives you more motivation right?)

 Until I Die is a beautiful sequel. A story that pulls you in and your heart out. Amy Plum is an amazing writer who knows what she's doing! That ending.....was the worst ending! She has me dying for more! The question isn't If I Shall Die but that I shall I die if I don't get book three like...now! (heheh see what I did there!) ;) 

 Wonderfully told from beginning to end, this book will literally have you dying for more! Mrs. Plum delivered a unique zombie lore tale and I was so happy to get more info on them in book two. If you haven't gotten your lil paws on this series already you better get your butt up and start reading it! This is a story you don't want to miss!
