{Follow Friday} ....or Thursday?? #30

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

~This Week's Features:
~This Week's Question:

What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?

~My Answer:
Ooooo...Do I even want to say? Ok...just no tomato throwing and dissing kk?
So the book I totally did not like that everybody seemed to LOVE was....Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater.
Ya, ya, go ahead and booo or judge! I knoew its going to happen. The saddest part? I bought the whole series ready to jump in and love it and...wasted my money. It was boring, the love was weird, too fast and bordering on stalkerish. I just wasn't feeling it. The metaphors and similes and all those great things was....gross at one point and ...almost unnecessary at times. Idk I just didn't like it at all and I feel like a total black sheep but oh well. I just wish I could have gotten my money back from the other two books and buy something else. Sorry Shiver fans!

What about you
Leave your link below! :)
Happy Friday and have a great weekend!!

  1. Shiver was just OK for me, but Linger and Forever were better because I loved Cole and Isabel's POVs.

  3. I liked Shiver, but I didn't love it. I did end up loving The Scorpio Races, it's so different from her wolf series and has a great unique voice.

  10. I really enjoyed reading the first two books, but they never got me super excited to read the last book in the trilogy! I still haven't bought it! *shame on me* I do want to finish the series & see if I love the ending. Fingers crossed!

  11. I haven't read shiver, because my choice for this F&F turned me off to paranormal romance for a while, LOL.

I *DO* love the covers of this series though... but a good cover does not a good book make!

  13. Ah Shiver. I have read the series, and I can understand how it wouldn't be likable to some. I didn't love it like many people, but nor did I hate it. But I can understand why you didn't like it.

  18. I didn't love Shiver myself. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate it, it just didn't wow me, and I've not read any more of the series.

I always want to love Maggie Stiefvater books mainly because I think we went to the same college! I never met her or anything, and she was a few years ahead. But I do plan on trying Scorpio Races soon. Hopefully I will like that more. :)

  19. Ouch! I hate it when I spend money on books I'm sure I'll love and end up hating >.<
I enjoyed Shiver, but I was a little disappointed in Linger. Still haven't read Forever, though.
