~This Week's Question:
Summer Reading. What was your favorite book that you were REQUIRED to read when you were in school?
~My Answer:
Uhm.. I don't do well with REQUIRED. I never end up liing the book if I HAVE to..I would rather read it because I LIKE to. That being said...i guess if I have to pick one...It'd be Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. It was rather weird but oddly enough I liked it. I didnt while reading it...(again books don't suit me when I have to read them)....but after, when I thought about it, I liked it! :) Also, Huckleberry Fin...I really liked that one even though I HAD to haha

And considering I was REQUIRED to have a fictional book for a book report one time....I loved having the excuse of having to read Delirium by Lauren Oliver ;)
What about you?? Leave your link in the comments!
Happy Friday everyone!! :) (or Thursday)
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! :)

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I'm totally the same way. As soon as someone says I have to read a book, I immediately don't want to and I decide that I don't like it. It just can't be helped!

New GFC follower. :) You have a beautiful blog!

  9. I never actually read Great Expectations, but don't think It was required for me, I remember liking Old Yeller and Where the Red Fern Grows, (my daughter is about 4 years older than you, so it was a long time ago) I know I was not into the Shakespeare ones, I liked the story of Some of his, just not the old style writing, hard for me, lol.
Have a great day, I already follow you.

  11. I've never read Great Expectations. There seem to be a lot of classics I have missed out on. Wouldn't it be great if teachers realized that people don't like to read a book chosen by someone other themselves? I mean, there are a few required reading gems, but not a lot.

    Have an awesome weekend!

  14. I liked Great Expectations too, but omg, same. I didn't quite like the journey itself but afterwards going back to think about what I just read, I liked it. And Huckleberry Finn's an awesome choice. I liked Tom Sawyer too though XD Great answer!

    Have a great Friday!
