Calla Tor has always known her destiny: After graduating from the Mountain School, she'll be the mate of sexy alpha wolf Ren Laroche and fight with him, side by side, ruling their pack and guarding sacred sites for the Keepers. But when she violates her masters' laws by saving a beautiful human boy out for a hike, Calla begins to question her fate, her existence, and the very essence of the world she has known. By following her heart, she might lose everything- including her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice? {Goodreads}
Werewolves??? HOTT! haha I honestly had never read a werewolf book and this was the perfect book to get started on. Andrea Cremer's writing was a little bit off at sometimes: jumping from one event to the other, not fully explaining something, and it could being really confusing but it the end she always pulled througgh. Everything was eventually explained. I loved the world she created and the background she based it off of. Oh and the cover!!! *sings in a high (on pitch) not&* BEEE(a)-UUUTIFUL!!!

Calla had been lied to her whole life. They were taught that the Searchers were the enemies, love was decided for them, that they (the Keepers) only wanted what was best for them. But no, all they wanted was power, the Guardians ( werewolves) were only their body guards. This was only found out after Shay, the boy she saved from a vicious bear attack (never thinking she would every sea him again), swoops into her life. And it seems he plays a bigger part in her life than she would have liked.

She can't help but fall for Shay (which I couldn't either). But why? He was only a human....or maybe not.....
I truly did love this book. Romance, action, frustration, and complications. The lies of the world keep you turning each page. You find yourself wondering if your assumptions were right, and also hoping you weren't right. The Keepers are so cruel you really end up hating them. I love both Ren's (the guy Calla is supposed to marry to create a new pack, who she also has an attraction to and is really cocky, cocky but cute! lol ) and Call's pack...well  most of them.

Calla is such a boss. She kicks butt like no other and (honestly) can be quite aggravating but that is what caused me to like her I think. She was so head strong and make women proud as she stands as the alpha female! :D I loved her brother Ansel too.

Shay is just a human...kind of...sorry you have to read to really find out if I'm bluffing or not hehe ;) He is cute, funny, and a pain in the butt sometimes. I often see..Tam Ren! Team Ren! but honestly I really liked Shay alot more. He is so much more easy going and nice. He truly cares for Calla and never has you doubting his love unlike Ren.

If you are looking for a kick-butt, love triangle, mysterious read with the whole werewolf thing going on then this is definitely your read right here. I recommend this book to you all. Which by the way is only the first in a trilogy!! Wolfsbane is already out but Bloodrose doesn't come out till January..poopy right!??? :/

Oh!! and this isn't your ordinary werewolf book. You'd be surprised how many twists and turns and....lies.....you have been told!! ;) I love all of what Miss Cremer gave us!! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!! :D
