~This Week's Question:

When you step out of your USUAL genre what do you like to read? Best books in that genre?

~My Answer:
Uhmm..I don't have a USUAL genre but I guess at the beginning of my reading I tended to stay to the popular...you know the vampires, werewolves, dystopian, etc. But as soon I stepped out of that as a book obssessor and blogger I began to venture out to books like steampunk (best=Destiny's Fire by Trisha Wolfe), contemporary(best=Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins), sci-fi(best=Hourglass by Mara McEntire), psychological thriller(best=The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer)...and the list goes on! Of course they are all Young-Adult. New Adult would have to be Easy by Tammara Webber. I haven't read any Adult but I want to but stick to the contemporary, sci-fi, and urban fantasy. Someday!! :D

  5. Love the answer! Steampunk is especially agreed upon; I'm starting to read more and more of it as well. I'll have to check out the Tara Fuller book.

  12. Haven't read any steampunk yet, I actually wasn't very sure of the concept of a steampunk novel... Does it means it's more industrial-revolution-style? With lots of steam engined machines? I am a little lost...

    1. Its like..hmm...I always have a hard time answering this. It normally takes place in the past setting. Most steampunks will revolve around a war or time genre like the Renassaince with new, updated technology so ya, more industrial-revolution style with engined, steel, contraptions. Its really cool and very interesting!

  18. Thanks to everyone for stopping by! Hope you all give all those genres a chance. Noticed steampunk is a most skipped. Highly recommend! They are very interesting and cool I found myself pleasantly surprised. They are kinda like my favorite in a way its just hard to find a good one.

Thanks to all the new and old followers! Love you all!! Hope you all will stop by my Blogoversary Shazam!! Great prizes!! <3

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  19. I LOVED Hourglass and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (can't wait for The Evolution, just a couple of days more and I can put my hands on it!). I haven't read steam punk yet--I've got a couple of them on my wishlist, though. I've only heard good things about Easy, but I haven't picked it up to read yet.

I guess adult fiction would be where I got the most out of my usual genre...
