Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

Crescendo (Hush, Hush #2)
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing
 Pages: 427
Synopsis from Goodreads:

Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and even worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar.

Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadnt been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something.

Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperately searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

Ah!! I absolutely love this series!! I can't wait for its next installment to be released!! Becca Fitzpatrick is one of my favorite authors. Her amazing talent in putting together an angel/fallen angel/nephilim story intreges me.

Out of all the authors who attempt a story with this kind of basis, it can be hard to not sound repetitive and have trouble reaching the audience. Not for Ms. Fitzptrick. She had my full attention, making me read page after page with no stop.

I had the hardest trouble putting it down, going to sleep with it still lingering in my thoughts. I kept wondering: will she ever be able to have a relationship with Patch? And there it is...the subject of Patch. Patch is *uhem* smoking hot, of-the-charts- hot!!! His whole bad boy presence: black hair, dark eyes, black shirt, black jeans and black boots!!! H-O-T!!!!! I can't wait to get more of him in his next book: Silence
I got to give props to Nora Grey too. Her character is a strong but also confused/needy girl. I loved her but I normally always love the main female character. There have only been a couple who claim the title of my "annoying, dislike list".

She loves Patch and can't stand the thought of living her life without him(and I can't blame her) She has been in ever up and down a relationship has. Her exeption being it is because of the archangels, and nephilims getting in their way, and I wouldn't really consider that normal.

Oh, and who can forget about her best friend Vee? Hahaha I can't help but laugh with Vee! She is such a fun, outgoing, and dare-devil of a friend. She is always there for Nora and will do anything for her. That means sneaking around to find information, helping her steal their arch-enemy's diary, and plenty more. She talks with such wit you can't help but bust up at her lines.

All in all, again, I absolutely loved this book and suggest it to all who read. *Do buy the first one before reading this one lol. It was such an ingenious book with the spin of romance, conflict, thrills, with a cool fallen angel twist. It's on my shelf, that's for sure. Never in a million years would I ever doubt my judgement on reading these books!! :D

***Now for my favorite quotes!!! :) WARNING: CONTENT MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
"Being with you never felt wrong. It's the one thing I did right. You're the one thing I did right. I don't care about the archangels. Tell me what you want me to do. Say the word. I'll do whatever you want. We can leave right now." ~The gorgeous, amazing Patch

"Patch buried his face in the curve of my shoulder, his hands flexing over my back. He gave a low groan. 'I love you,' he murmured into my hair. 'I'm happier than I have ever remember being.'"  ~Again the uber amazing and gorgeous Patch
