Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love. {Goodreads}
Where to start...??? At first I was really hesitant to read this book. Love as a disease? Who comes up with that? Then I was assigned to read a fiction book of my choice for a book report at school (yes we still do those) and I decided to give it a chance. best. choice. ever!!! I fell in love with this book from the very beginning. I quickly accepted the "bizarre" idea of labeling love as a disease.

Lauren Oliver has a way with words. Her writing had be hooked and hanging on to every word. She has this magically way of addicting you and flipping page after page only wanting more! And *warning! she has a way with leaving you crying, breathless, and hating the release dat of book #2!! This book has a major cliff hanger!! *sniffle, sniffle* *wipes away tears* Wow, that was devastating!!!

Lena is parent less, her father died when she was young and her mother committed suicide, drawn crazy by the death of her husband an effect of the deliria (love). Love has been marked as a disease and they have found a cure. After a person reaches the age of eighteen they are scheduled to have the cure. Her mother was never cured. She had the procedure several times but it never had the effects they wanted. Her sister is now cured and she lives with her uncle, aunt, and two cousins.

Lena is 95 days away from her procedure and she can't wait after her mother was labeled as having the deliria and became an outcast she didn't want to follow in her mothers footsteps. Now the interviews are coming up. Her aunt has had her practice her answers to hopefully get a good match, job, and life planned out for her. (Can you imagine that!! Terrible right) But while she is in her interview it quickly spirals out of control after each answer, then the unthinkable happens: the people from the Wilds interupt it all with a crazy stunt ( you have to figure that out for yourself). When she looks up, a gorgeous boy is laughing on the table above her. Laughing!

This boys is *sighs dreamily* Alex. I LOVE Alex!!! Later on they meet again and guess what!!?? Fall in love. He has the mark of the cured ( a small three pronged mark behind his ear) but why does he act like he does...flirting...spending a lot of time with her??? Ya so surprise! surprise! After this the story takes so many unexpected twists and turns and I loved them all!! :D The ending, as a mentioned before, was terrible!!! (a good kind of terrible) I cried..no joke! hurry up Pandemonium!! I need you now!

Characters:
Lena has many faults and weaknesses. I like her for that reason. She was also very strong and very real. She is what you would expect of us teenagers if that happened some day. She has always folllowed the rules and looked forward to the cure. But every good girl needs to rebel sometimes right??

Alex is so adorable. He is funny, sweet, smart and also very real. I loved, loved, loved him!! He is so on my fictional boyfriend list!! Oh and it isn't just his personality that reeks of hotness, nope he is HOT!!! inside and out!! He really caress about Lena, he sees the real her. Thinking nothing about her is wrong or faulty but perfect (his exact word..perfect!!) :D He is soo swoon worthy and I better stop now because i will just end up rambling lol

Hana is so cool! She is an awesome best friend, Lena's complete opposite (loud, a social butterfly, crazy, and risky) but opposites attrack right?? I know that is the reason for me and my best friend ( Ya, you could probably fit me in the description of Hana, in some ways that is).

So go read this book as soon as you can. Trust me you will not be disappointed! This is probably my favorite dystopian novel right now, right next to Divergent. Everything about this book is amazingly perfect! <333333

"What did you say' I repeat. My voice comes out croaky whisper.------
'I said, I prefer the ocean when it's grey . Or not real grey. A pale, in-between color.
It reminds me of waiting for something good to happen'"~ Alex & Lena

"His voice is endlessly soft. His eyes are warm and flecked with light,
the color of the sun melting like butter through the trees on a warm evening.
'And I love you too.' His fingers skate the edge of my jaw, dance briefly over my
my lips. 'You should know that. You have to know that.'" ~Alex
